  • A year on the green
Week 16 - 12th January
A little shredding required after trimming one of the bushes.
This time it's a bit of machine brushing to take up any surface dead grass.
Whilst attending to the problem solenoid it is a good opportunity to move the sprinkler as it is not quite central.
Hazel decided to brave the elements and start up painting the fence again.
The chippies are working on a door for the new score card cupboard. I suppose they will want me to paint it when they have finished?
Big Bertha is out again for her weekly run over the green....
Lift and turn...all good exercise.
Time to try a little scarifying to take up some dead moss.
They told me there were filling the knot holes in to avoid my paint dropping through, a likely story!
Just a minor repair to the main Green mower. Let's hope it works again!
Well we were all there Friday and what a busy day that was as can be seen below......
With the expected very cold spell Big Bertha came out for the second time this week.
My turn with Big Bertha! In my defence the curve in the grass line is an optical allusion....
Len's turn with Big Bertha.
After slitting the Green a grass cut was on the schedule. Fear not, Tony did not cut it all on his own.....
Graeme is back working on the angle iron. This time it's making brackets for the new front door porch. More painting!
The chippies are still working on the new scoreboard cupboard by ensuring the hinges have a secure area to be screwed in to. Bert by the way is just giving them some words of wisdom....
I even found time to do a little more painting.
The best to last. The boss giving the Collier Turf Rep one of his tall storys.
