  • A year on the green
Week 17 - 19th January
Not a good week for working......The grass very frosty on Monday so not much we could do although we finished painting the metal support for the front side gate so that can now be put up and all the metal fence posts for behind the work sheds have now been painted and some more work was done on the new equipment and scoreboard cupboard. Wednesday was not much better.....as can be seen from the photo below although the grass was not frosty the weather was cold with a little flurry of snow flakes. However, we did have a delivery of chemicals etc for treating the green, which needed sorting out and stacking away plus, a little more work was done on the scoreboard cupboard!
As can be seen from the enlargement of this picture Burnham-on-Crouch had its first taste of attempted snow....
The Green was frosty again on Friday so Big Bertha could not come out to play but we managed to get on with a few other jobs......
As can be seen there certainly was a good hard frost!
As a change from painting I thought I would have a go at a bit of bricky work....
Despite all the wise cracks from the others, not a bad job?
What you doing Graham????
Digging a hole.
To be precise Graham was extending a hole already dug earlier because the spray head needs to be moved.
Graeme still welding up the front porch brackets.
The chippies are getting on with the new Scoreboard cupboard. Now the door is on it won't be long before the paint pots are out again.
