  • A year on the green
Week 36 - 1st June
Monday the 1st of June and it's back to work on the Green and Star Slitter is the first order of the day.....
Tony's starting to cut the grass.
Hazel's back at her fence painting but has run out of stain!
Neville digging and preparing to lay some paving slabs at the back of the work sheds in a bid to make a clearer path and hopefully keep the fox out...
Yes, another cut for the banking grass.
Wednesday was a busy day......
If I wasn't taking the picture that would be me behind this machine making little holes in the Green!
Graham started off cutting the Green.
Disaster! The mower 's had a fit and after inspection it would seem a major repair is in order...
Thanks heavens we have a second mower which just need its blades lowering.
Graeme's got his welding tool out again working on the gravel board supports.
Nevilles starting to cut up the Astro Turf that will eventually replace the wooden boarding around the green.
There was even time to fix a fence panel that kept coming out in the wind.
We had some very, very heavy rain first thing Friday morning but by the time we got to club to work the Green had drained very well.
For once we were not putting any holes in the Green so I was able to get on with the grass cutting but still using our second mower.
Graham wanted to run the heavy roller over the Green to help level off the odd bumps......
Brian turned up to give the club windows a clean. Well done Brian.
Tony keeping the bank grass down.
Macolm tidying up the grass edge along the club house.
