  • A year on the green
Week 48 - 24th August
It would seem that the boss Graham cut the grass on Sunday so it didn't need doing on Monday which is just as well because it was raining a lot and if you don't believe me look at the picture below which was taken at 2.00pm on Monday. However, it was a good time to put some more fertilizer down which the rain would wash in.
Hopefully the fertilizer will freshen the grass up and make it a little greener?

We have had a lot of rain over the last couple of days so it was felt only a cut was in order for Wednesday.
With all the rain lots of worm casts to remove.
With four days growth and the rain plenty of grass came off today.
Friday morning the weathers been a little better so it's back to normal.
The grass is quite damp so a brush helps to dry it out.
It was back to putting loads of holes in the Green for me.
Plenty of grass to come off.
Early signs of furcarium were seen so a good dose of fungicide hopefully will keep it away.
The good news is that the treatment we put down for the fairy rings seems to have had some effect as very little can be seen of them at the moment.
