Week 49 - 31st August

August Bank Holiday Monday and as you would expect the promise of plenty of rain. Not to be deterred though we risked cutting the grass and thankfully the rain eased for a couple of hours. We also dragged brushed the Green before the cut in order to break up the worm casts. (sorry no photos)

Wednesday morning and the weather's been a little better so I decided to get the Star Slitter out not before drag brushing the Green though!

Despite all the grass that came off on Monday Tony also had loads on Wednesday.

Len is spraying on some liquid to Green up the grass and make it stronger.

The technical boys are putting up a compass point wind indicator.

And here it is job done!

It's Friday again and today the boss said we only need to cut the grass and as I was first one there I (Ed) seem to have got the job, no photo though I am afraid.....but there area few others.

At the moment there's lots of drag brushing as the worms are very busy.

Opportunity to get the bank grass cut.

Even the motorised strimmer was out!

Although not part of the Green team's work Brian deserves a picture as he is our club's sole volunteer window cleaner.
