  • A year on the green
Week 50 - 7th September
As Sunday 5th September was the Club's main Finals day year the grass was cut that morning so it didn't need cutting Monday but it was given an extra groom.
At the moment most mornings the drag brush is used.
Extra grooming meant going over the Green in both directions but we did get a lot of dead grass up.
Over the last week we have been having trouble with a fox digging holes in the Green so we are trying to block it off.
Further Fox deterrent.
It's Wednesday and the Fox is still managing to get on the Green....
The Green didn't a brush today so I start with applying some small holes!
The usual Wednesday cut.
The grass is a bit long in the corners which the smaller machine does.
Having a go at the embankment always makes it look good.
It would seem that Graham cut the Green grass on Thursday, so you would have thought it wouldn't need cutting Friday! Wrong....Graham lowered the cutter blade so the grass got cut and we had three good boxes of grass cuttings. Before that though the green was drag brushed to remove some of the moister.
Yes it was me (Ed) who cut the grass Friday.
More treatment. This time it is to put some goodness back in the soil.
