Week 9 -24th November

Well Sunday it was raining Cats and Dogs but thankfully the Monday was dry and sunny so the team were able to treat a Furcarium problem on the Green with some appropriate Liquid. Sorry the photographer was not there on the day so no picture!!!!
More rain on Wednesday morning which left Green flooded. Best we could do was check out BIG BERTHA, an affectionate name we give the large machine that we use to slice through the green and it started OK and was working satisfactory so we will start using it soon. We also changed one of the cylinder heads on one of the other machines in order to have the ability to spike the green over the coming months.
Friday was a dry day and although the green was still very wet we gave it another cut but not before giving it a drag brush in order to try to break up some of the worm casts. After cutting it left a lot of grass cuttings on the Green so it was given the once over with the motorised brushing machine. Unfortunately I forgot my camera on Friday so you will have to take my word for the days work......
