  • A year on the green
Week 8 -17th November
Look smart everyone our Chief Green Keeper, Graham Pinch, will be back on Friday so better look as though we have been doing something.....
One hole dug to access a faulty solenoid for the Green sprinkler system.
Middle of November and we still need to cut the bank grass!
The wooden fencing fitted. Almost there. The next job is to paint all the new metal work.
A light trim of the hedges should see them off until next spring.
Finally the metal angle iron is welded to the top of the fence for fixing a wire mesh to in a bid to keep the fox away.
Now all the welding in this area has been done all the metal needs a coat of paint.
We thought it was about time our refreshment man got in on the photos. After all where would we be without a Tea Break!
The start of another job with angle iron being prepared to build a 24 foot fence at the back of the workshops. By the way, the pink scarf does not belong to Graham.
Graham is back, so why is he not working.....
Still chatting Granham? Get on with some work.....
That's better Graham. A nice gentle job of trimming the Green edges...
It's time to cut the grass for the first time since it was seeded 7 weeks ago.
Following the first cut the drag rake is used to lift the grass and break up warm casts.
Still cutting and raking!
I assume he is working in the corner, or at least I hope so...
Wire mesh above fence fitted and lengths of wire tightened, all in a bid to stop the fox from climbing over.
