  • A year on the green
Week 26 - 23rd March
No this is not a big blue beetle? It is a very useful watering device called a crawler that very slowly moves from one end of the rink to the other watering as it goes.
One of the side sprinklers has now been moved and the dirt is now going back in the hole and the grass laid on top.
Here is the finished sprinkler job. Give it a few months and you won't notice it has been disturbed...
Before we can check the work on the sprinklers the pump needs to be checked and piped up after the winter.
The final finishing off for painting the wooden ditch battens.
Work is progressing with the roof covering at the back of the work sheds.
Wednesday was a good day which started with the Green being dew brushed and all four ditches being swept out in readiness to put all the corks back plus the following photos.
More fertilizer!
The fertilizer needed watering in so we had to use the sprinklers....
More welding and grinding for Graeme. This time its support brackets for the back roof covering.
As for the roof covering.....it is getting there!
No pictures for Friday I am afraid as I was otherwise engaged. However, I am reliably informed that the Green grass was cut and the work continued on the roof covering, at the back of the workshops.
